German [[Dada|Dadaist]] and [[New Objectivity]] painter born in 1893 in [[Berlin]], [[Germany]]. His biting, satirical drawings and paintings savagely critiqued Weimar-era militarism, corruption, and bourgeois decadence — — before he emigrated to the United States in 1933. Died 1959.
