There is [evidence](https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6213308/) that supports that [[Carbohydrates]] in general (and [[Glucose|glucose]] in particular) makes the absorption of water and [[Electrolytes|electrolytes]] faster, improving proper [[Hydration|hydration]] which can be key for performance in [[Cardio Exercise|cardio exercise]].
The long story resides in that, once water is drank, to be absorbed by the blood to complete [[Hydration|hydration]]. However, if the water molecules are accompanied by sodium (an [[Electrolytes|electrolyte]]) and [[Glucose|glucose]], it is far more easier for the body to absorb it.
