Venezuelan [[Op Art]] and [[Kinetic Art|kinetic artist]] born in 1923 in [[Ciudad Bolívar]], [[Venezuela]]. His vibrating wire constructions and immersive *Penetrables* — environments of hanging coloured strands — invited viewers to physically enter the artwork and experience optical phenomena. Died 2005.
