[Obsidian](https://obsidian.md/) is a tool that provides a [[knowledge base]] on top of a local folder of [[Markdown]] files. In a sense, Obsidian allows to simply visualize and interact in a better way on top of plain text files. Even though it is extremely flexible due to the wide range of community plugins it provides, the bare bones app allows for note taking, WYSIWYG rendering, linked connections and graph visualization, seemingly heavily inspired by the [[Zettelkasten]] methodology.
