That was a truly slow burn. It is heavy on the shoulders, and the movie goes slowly to the only place possible in that story, with those characters. Everyone acts very good, but [[Luis Zahera]] and [[Diego Anido]] win by a landslide on being terrible human beings under desperate circumstances. The highlights for me:
- The scene at the bar, where Antoine faces both brothers, shot in a single take, with a fixed camera behind the bar.
- The chase that ends with Antoine being strangled is pure rural horror.
- The scene where Olga faces the brothers and talks straight to their mother: "your children are going to prison, so you'll be alone like I am. I'll be up there if you need anything" – shivers.
