German [[Fluxus]] artist born in 1932 in [[Leverkusen]], [[Germany]]. A pioneer of video art, happenings, and décollage, he created provocative multimedia works — — that confronted Cold War politics, consumerism, and the legacy of violence in postwar Europe. Died 1998.
