Recommended by Lucie — her favorite place (“vyšehrad es mi sitio favorito”): “there’s a brewery and very good views — go if you have time.” Historic hilltop fort south of the centre with the Basilica of SS Peter and Paul and the Vyšehrad Cemetery (resting place of Dvořák, Smetana, Mucha), plus sweeping views over the Vltava. Grounds free; casemates/church ticketed. Has a popular beer garden / hospoda by the ramparts.
