The camera modules are a set of four Sider Lua modules for PES 21 that provide custom camera angles and positioning. They are bundled with FL26.

All four modules were built on nesa24’s game research (reverse engineering camera memory addresses), with module code by juce (Anton Jouline, the Sider author) and digitalfoxx. They all depend on the shared nesalib.lua library by juce, which provides INI parsing, memory caching, overlay UI, keyboard/gamepad input, and per-stadium settings switching.

BroadCastCam

By nesa24 and digitalfoxx, updated by juce. The main gameplay camera that simulates a real TV broadcast. It patches the game executable at runtime to remove the angle lock (writing NOP bytes over a movss instruction), then overrides the default camera parameters.

Default settings:

broad_angle = 64.00
broad_height = 0.24
broad_zoom = 13.75
ParameterDescription
broad_angleHorizontal sweep/arc angle along the sideline. Larger stadiums need higher values (~90-120), smaller ones use ~40-60
broad_heightCamera elevation above the pitch. Higher = more overhead view
broad_zoomZoom level. Lower = tighter on the ball, higher = wider field of view
broad_pitchVertical tilt of the camera
broad_param1-param3Internal parameters controlling camera smoothing/transition curves

The .ini file contains hundreds of per-stadium overrides, identified by section headers like [009::England\Elland Road] where the number is the game’s internal stadium ID and the path comes from the Stadium Server.

StadiumCam

By nesa24, refactored by juce. A fixed, elevated camera that stays more stationary than BroadCastCam, offering a wider overhead perspective. Patches 4 separate memory locations (height, zoom, angle, pitch).

Default settings:

stad_angle = -0.00
stad_height = 0.25
stad_pitch = 0.12
stad_zoom = 56.00

VerticalCam

By nesa24 and digitalfoxx, refactored by juce. A high, steep-angle camera. Despite the name, it is not a pure 90-degree top-down view — most per-stadium overrides use vert_pitch = 3.50, making it a steeply angled high camera rather than truly vertical.

Default settings:

vert_angle = 1.30
vert_height = 0.19
vert_pitch = 99.50
vert_zoom = 18.00

Most per-stadium overrides use consistent values of vert_height = 0.14, vert_pitch = 3.50, and vert_zoom = 18.10, with only the vert_angle varying (typically between 0.40 and 1.25).

FanViewCam

By nesa24 (research) and juce (module code). An elevated, zoomed-in perspective as if watching from the stands behind one of the goals.

Default settings:

fanview_camera_zoom = 25.60
fanview_camera_height = 0.43
fanview_camera_angle = 1.0

Per-stadium overrides

All camera modules use the same INI section format: [STADIUM_ID::COUNTRY\Stadium Name]. The nesalib.lua library handles matching the current stadium to the correct section. Pressing 7 in-game toggles between “common” (default) and per-stadium mode, allowing real-time editing and saving of per-stadium settings via the overlay.

Current configuration

All four camera modules are active in my FL26 setup.
