Following the steps in this note caused severe instability in my system, to the point of having to restore Windows entirely. Take this information as a reference, not as a safe guide.
Even though I used to have a partition with NixOS in my desktop PC, in late 2025 I started noticing that I was not really using it anymore as a PC. That, mixed with the frustration that Windows was inducing, made me start a journey to strip everything (or at the very least, hide it) from that machine and turn it into a complete overkill of a gaming console.
